Why Belize?                           No Shirt,    No Shoes,    No Problem!!!

Snorkel and Dive the Reef.  The Belizean Barrier Reef is the longest reef in this hemisphere.  Belize offers a wide variety of snorkeling and diving adventures which are unequalled anywhere -- for both quality and bargain prices.

Enjoy the Climate.  The temperature here varies from 100° down to 65° (at night.)  When it's freezing in the US, it's paradise in Belize!.  Summers are invariably 10° cooler than Cancún!  (If you don't believe it, compare Cancún and Chetumal on CNN.)

Explore the Ruins.  The Mayan ruins in Belize are just now being uncovered.  Imagine the thrill of seeing mounds and hills that haven't even been excavated yet.  Or, take the shortest route to Tikal in Guatemala (the Queen of all Mayan ruins.)

Fish the Rivers and BeachesCompared with other fishing areas around Florida and along the Yucatan, Belize is an sparsely populated paradise. And prices are generally half what you can expect to pay in the Bahamas.

Bag Some Birds.  Belize has 534 species of Birds, many of which are found no place else. Plan a vacation around a whirlwind birdwatching tour of Belize!.  Resources are listed here

Make a difference.   If you live in a city in the states, chances are, the population is larger than all of Belize.  If you are articulate, or talented, or simply industrious here, you can make a difference in the quality of life for these people here.  If that's important to you, this will be a wonderful place for you.

Escape   Are you caught in a golden trap?  Read about it and then think about it.

See Northern Belize.  We're particularly proud of our little corner of the world.  Come here to see why.

Settle in Belize. Come and visit.  You might like it so much you want to settle (perhaps retire) here.  If this piques your interest, click here to find out more about settling down here.

Visit us! Charlotte and I tend a cyber cafe and book exchange.  Read about it here

New!  A wonderful travelog by a recent (2006) visitor to Belize.  Read it here.
