The Star. (Oct 2007...)
The Star is an independent weekly, published by
Alberto August and edited by his wife Nyani Azueta-Augist. They published
the paper in Dangriga until 2004, when they moved to Santa Elena. It has a regional
flavor, with a lot of news about the Cayo District. (yippee Cayo...that's
Western, Podner!) But it also has a lot of stories and columns about
national issues. (You will notice that Ray Auxillou, who was writing for
the Indpendent Reformer, is now writing for the Star.
Like most other Belizean papers, it is dated with Sunday's
date, and we will probably get our copy on Saturday, so you can look for it
here. Like the Indy, it is in pdf form, so you will need a copy of Adobe
Reader*. .

The Star is back to Sunday, and is greater and more colorful than ever. Let me
