More Downfall
Originally, Downfall was composed of a mix of Belize City and
Corozal players. The Belize City players both went to the US to study, and
came back in the Summer '05 to visit and (of course) play some music. Here
are the new players.
 This
is Lowell Gillette. Lowell is HUGE. He makes his oversized 5-string
bass look like a toy. He helped me to realilze that I just wasn't cut out
to be a bass-player (with my tiny hands.)
Lowell is also an accomplished graphics artist and technician, and did the
banner (below) for the band's live performances.
Oh... yeah. He is a dynamite bass player!
Andre is one of the hottest rock guitar-players I've had the
opportunity to watch. He practices hours and hours a day to get his speed
up and keep it up.
Below, Downfall's banner, which floated over the band during
their concert. Notice the stylized man from the seal on the Belizean flag
-- with a black tattoo of Belize outlined on his chest. Waaaaay coooool!
The concert was so wild, with audience mixing with the
players, that I really couldn't get any pictures of the band!
