The June Bug PartyNo music here -- just a lot of foolish fun! First, Roger and Deema Thompson sent out a flashy invitation.
They fixed up the back yard pretty nice, with tarps in case it rained. The bug table (right) contained a bunch of little displays of bugs. The special ones are shown below.
Exhibits.
Left, Margaret Briggs' "Wild Bill Locust" even had a hand of
"Aces & Eights" which she drew in with a magnifying glass!
Poor Bill, backshot by a slug.
Above, Peggy Mueller's sunbather is oblivious to the huge scorpion to her left (our right.) Below, Mr. Ed's beetles are reenacting the derby.
Below. While Roger Thompson officiates, Margaret Briggs is preparing tolaunch a watermellon seed. Her partner, Jeff, set a new record at 35 feet!
