Ismael's Posse

Ismael Monima was one of the finest natural sax players I ever met when he was a 2nd form (sophomore) student in my music classes in 2000-2001.  Lately, Ismael came over and told me that he wants to play music as a career.  He was putting together a band.  He actually rounded up the best bass player and the best piano player in the College (high school) and put together a band that played reggaeton music.  He was the  first person to play this style, and before he was thru it was being played on every radio station in Belize!   By now, you may have heard "Gasolina" -- a rhymic wail about how important it is to have fuel for your car in the barrio.  Ismael's posse spend dozens of hours practicing at Rix Place.

Here are some pictures of Ismael and his Posse (gang) practicing for the big battle of the bands.
