The Harvest Christian Center

OLD NEWS. This was our church home here in Corozal.  HCC is a inter-denominational home for fundamental Christians in Corozal.  We welcome any Christians from any background.  The church is backed by a Mother Church in Ohio which provides both financial and spiritual help whenever needed.

The Church first started meeting in a house in the north end of town about three years ago.  Two years ago, the Quans took a leap of faith and moved into this house on North 4th Avenue. The location was great, three blocks south of the town square on fourth avenue, which is the main street of town.  The big purple building was "eclectic" to say the most.  See for yourself.

The building just to the right is "The Purple Toucan" -- a local drinking establishment.  They held off on their music until our services were completed on Sunday mornings.  (Thanks, Taxi.)

Pastor Lisa Quan is our pastor.  She is dedicated and multi-talented, playing guitar to lead us in praise and worship singing, preaching, and teaching scripture at Corozal Community College (the local high school.)   Lisa is energetic in her song leading and preaching and it takes multiple pictures to capture her spirit.  Click here for more pictures of Lisa in action

Lisa has guitar-player's hands, and she plays the 12-string guitar with authority and enthusiasm.  She was influenced a lot by some of the televangelists, and she does a really great job of playing and song-leading at the same time.

NEW:  In August, the owner of the building defaulted on payments, and the building went back to the Atlantic Bank.  They have always wanted to have a 4th Avenue address, so they told us to move, and we did!

The New Location is just off of South 5th Avenue, a block from the intersection with 7th.  The building is bigger, with plenty of room for the Church sanctuary, a Childrens' Church, and "JC's Cool Spot" -- a new meeting place for teenagers, complete with ping pong table and TV.   Click here for details and pictures.
