Getting to Belize

Belize is actually relatively close to the US (about 800 air miles from Miami) but it is not on the way to any place else.  The current government has a strong commitment to increased tourism, and this reassures the airlines which service Belize.  Although all of the international flights are into Phillip Goldson International Airport in Ladyville (just outside of Belize City) there are more of them every month.

How we got to Belize:  A series of articles about our travels from our old home in Colorado to Corozal.

The Belizean Chronicles:  A series of articles about Rick's 2004 trip from Colorado to Corozal with his son Tim.

Two Gringas Drive to Belize A very funny account of two American women's trip from the Pacific Northwest to Belize.  The author, "Miss Lena" also has a blog about Belize which you can see here.   If you get lost following the trip, you can resume here
