Consejo Shores

Consejo is a village on the northern tip of Belize, overlooking Chetumal (only 6 miles away.)   40 years ago, Bill Wildman, a Canadian, started developing "Consejo Shores," a luxury development with full amenities and services, adjacent to the village along the eastern shore of the bay.  After a flurry of development in the 70's, the development has grown slowly through the rest of the century.  It now seems poised to provide luxury lots for Gringos who want to control their environment and choose their neighbors in the new era of Belizean development.  Visit their website, and visit the development when you come to see us, and then please tell us what you think.

NEW.  My friend Art Higgins has a development in the Consejo area, right next to a new development by Ray Wagner, who owns the Smuggler's Den.  You can see details on this development here.  Newer.  Well, he used to be my friend.  When I went back to Belize, he visibly snubbed me.  Small town stuff, huh?
