Harvest Christian Center: Statement of Faith
We believe in one God in three Persons, God- Father, Son,
Holy Spirit. We believe in God the
Father who is Creator and Founder of all good things which exists, without
beginning and without end.
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is the only begotten
Son of God who was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary.
He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, was buried,
descended into hell and resurrected on the third day by the power of the Lord
God Almighty. Jesus appeared before many witnesses with infallible proofs.
He redeemed all of mankind with His precious blood as a Lamb without spot
or blemish, His sinless-ness a type for all mankind in regeneration.
We believe that He ascended into heaven where He now sits at the right
hand of God the Father and is true God and true man. Jesus is presently
interceding, is the Head of Church and will come again to judge both the living
and the dead.
We believe the Bible in its entirety to be the inspired Word
of God and the infallible rule of faith and conduct and we use the Scriptures as
the authority for all that we do and teach.
We believe that Jesus is the Christ and He fulfilled all the
scriptures, including the Father’s promise to send the Holy Spirit, the third
person of the Trinity. The ministry of the Holy Spirit is present and ongoing
today. Therefore, we believe in
water baptism, the baptism in the Holy Spirit as distinct from the New Birth, in
speaking with tongues as the Spirit of God gives utterance (Acts 2:4), in the
gifts of the Holy Spirit, the evidence of the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians
5:25) and the communion of the Believers. We believe that all of these are available to every Believer.
We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead, the
eternal punishment of the lost and eternal happiness of the saved.
We believe that we shall rule and reign in glorified bodies for time
eternal.
We believe in personal salvation of Believers through the
shed blood of Jesus Christ.
We believe in the sanctification through the Word of God and
by the Holy Spirit, and we believe in personal holiness, purity of heart and
life.
We believe in divine healing through faith in the Name of
Jesus Christ, and that healing is included in the Redemption.
We believe in the Christian’s hope - the soon-coming
personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ.
