Notes:
1. These countries are ranked by GDP per person. A an
average family of four in Belize would account for a little less than $20,000 in
"product" -- i.e. revenue to the country. This is a good
thumbnail comparison of the resources available to families in various
countries. Cuba is an exception, since many services are made available to
citizens at no cost.
2. External debt includes both personal debt (owed by
individuals and organizations) and public debt owed to all external
entities.
